Founder & Managing Partner // CTM Insights

Lou Steinberg. Founder and a Managing Partner at CTM Insights, has been at the leading edge of network security and technology innovation throughout his career. CTM is a research lab and incubator/build studio that invests in solving some of the hardest problems in cyber security and then licenses IP or launches companies to bring those solutions to market. Prior to CTM, Steinberg served for 6 years as the CTO of TD Ameritrade where he was responsible for technology innovation, platform architecture, engineering, operations, risk management, and cyber security.

Prior to joining TD Ameritrade, Steinberg was the CEO of several start-ups, including Rev2 (operational risk management software), Cranite Systems (cyber security), and NetOps (data analytics and fault prediction). Steinberg also spent several years as CTO of Symbol Technologies (now Motorola), driving a company-wide solutions strategy while also serving as the General Manager of its Software Division.

Steinberg previously served as an entrepreneur-in-residence at Warburg Pincus and as a strategy advisor to senior management at companies including Comcast, Citigroup and Fidelity. He was the SVP of Marketing and Market Development at Micromuse (now IBM), a network management and analytics company that he joined through the acquisition of NetOps. Additionally, he spent over a decade at IBM in various technical and management roles— notably contributing to router development for the NSFNet, a second-generation Internet backbone. He has served on various IETF Working Groups related to network management, including SNMP-1, MIB-1, Ethernet MIB, RMON-1 and chaired a Working Group on Alert Management.

Steinberg is the author of “Troubleshooting with SNMP and Understanding MIBs” (McGraw-Hill, 2000), as well as numerous articles on technology and innovation. He holds a bachelor's degree in engineering and a master's degree in computer science, both from the Stevens Institute of Technology, and is an active member of the Stevens Board of Trustees where he serves as chairman of the Research & Technology Commercialization committee, vice chairman of the Audit & Risk committee, and as a member of the HR and Executive committees.  Steinberg has served on numerous private company boards and currently serves as Board Chairman of ShardSecure, as a member of the Technology Advisory Committee to the Board of the MITRE Corporation, and on the CXO Advisory Council to the Digital Value Institute. He has 8 patents issued or pending in the areas of cyber security, resiliency, and analytics

 

MARV ADAMS

Executive Advisor

Marv Adams has held a number of large scale technology, operations, enterprise shared services, digital-channel revenue producing, and business strategy roles across the financial services and manufacturing industries over the last twenty-five years. These positions have included: EVP of Bank One Services Corporation (now part of JPMorgan Chase), Global CIO at both Citigroup and Ford Motor Company (where he also led Strategy, reporting to the Chairman), President of Shared Services at Fidelity, and Chief Operating Officer at TD Ameritrade. Marv began his career in technology at IBM.

Marv has led numerous, complex merger integration initiatives, implemented the Toyota-based lean / continuous learning system to drive significant operational improvements, implemented Agile development methods at scale, and helped to infuse innovation into the core operating DNA of organizations. In addition, he has been a leader in effective risk management, implementing “defense-in-depth” cyber security and resiliency systems (technology, policy, processes and people capabilities).

Marv spent 2017 and 2018 as an executive advisor to the Optum and United Health executive team, leveraging his experience to assist with a variety of scale related technology and operations challenges, and designing an Agile delivery process for technology oriented products and services. As part of the implementation, Marv was asked to oversee the implementation of Optum’s first enterprise-wide analytics and artificial intelligence COE. Today, he is doing executive advisory consulting work, including for two early stage technology companies, one of which is a cyber security firm, of which he is a co-founder and part owner.

Marv is a graduate of Michigan State University, with a BS in Electrical Engineering and Systems Science. He has also attended a number of executive education programs at Stanford and MIT.


DR. EDWARD G. AMOROSO

Chief Executive Officer // TAG Cyber LLC

Dr. Edward G. Amoroso is currently Chief Executive Officer of TAG Cyber LLC, a global cyber security advisory, training, consulting, and media services company supporting hundreds of major companies across the world. Ed recently retired from AT&T after thirty-one years of service, beginning in Unix security R&D at Bell Labs and culminating as Senior Vice President and Chief Security Officer of AT&T from 2004 to 2016.

Ed has been Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at the Stevens Institute of Technology for the past twenty-eight years, where he has introduced over two thousand graduate students to the topic of information security. He is also affiliated with the Tandon School of Engineering at NYU as an instructor, and the Applied Physics Laboratory at Johns Hopkins University as a senior advisor. He is author of six books on cyber security and dozens of major research and technical papers and articles in peer-reviewed and major publications.

Ed holds the BS degree in physics from Dickinson College, the MS/PhD degrees in Computer Science from the Stevens Institute of Technology, and is a graduate of the Columbia Business School. He holds ten patents in cyber security and media technology and he serves as a Member of the Board of Directors for M&T Bank.

Ed’s work has been highlighted on CNN, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal. He has worked directly with four Presidential administrations on issues related to national security, critical infrastructure protection, and cyber policy. He and his wife Lee live in New Jersey and are the proud parents of three wonderful children.


JOSE DOMINGUEZ

CISO – Global Strategic Acquisitions // UnitedHealth Group

Jose joined UnitedHealth Group in 2021 as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Global Strategic Acquisitions. Jose oversees a team of cybersecurity professionals responsible for securing Acquired Entities that have not yet been integrated into the UnitedHealth Group core systems..

Previous to his current role, Jose was the CISO of TD Ameritrade for 8 years, responsible for all aspects of the firm’s cybersecurity program and Fraud Practice – protecting 10,000 associates, 12 million clients and $2T of client assets.  In addition to his cybersecurity roles, Jose has spent 25 years in various management positions within technology leading Infrastructure and Application Development teams. Jose specialized in high availability/high volume transaction systems focused on trading, order routing and market data ticker plants within the financial services arena.


JANET LEVESQUE

Chief Information Security Officer // Athena Health

Janet Levesque currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer for athenahealth.  She is responsible for determining acceptable levels of risk for athenahealth which is creating a thriving ecosystem to deliver accessible, high quality and sustainable healthcare for all.

Prior to athenahealth, Janet was the Chief Information Security and Data Protection Officer for Mimecast, a cybersecurity provider of email security, continuity and data protection solutions and the Chief Information Security Officer at RSA, the security division of Dell/EMC.  Her foundational years were spent in risk management and systems audit at Arthur Andersen as well as a variety of roles in high tech and enterprise software establishing and building cybersecurity, governance and risk management programs.  

She graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts/Economics and holds Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designations.

ADALIO SANCHEZ

Adalio is a tech industry veteran with a strong track record in transforming and growing complex global businesses. He has broad expertise in the enterprise software, hardware, and semiconductor markets, including the key technology areas of systems, cloud, and digital. He spent 32 years with the IBM Corporation where he held various senior executive officer roles. During his tenure, he was instrumental in developing IBM’s early personal computers, spearheaded the formation of the Bluetooth industry consortium that made the wireless technology ubiquitous, and oversaw the creation of several of the world’s most powerful server and supercomputing systems and associated software.

Following IBM, he was Senior Vice President of Lenovo Group and CEO of Quantum Corporation. He presently serves on the board of directors of Avnet Inc, ACI Worldwide Inc, Snap One Holdings Corporation, and the MITRE Corporation.

Prior to joining Allure, Josh was VP of Web Security at Akamai Technologies. He spent four years leading Akamai’s security business through explosive growth, guiding the business from a base of ~$300M to nearly $1B in annual revenue.

Earlier in his career, Shaul held the role of VP of Product Management at Trustwave/Singtel. Trustwave is a leading cybersecurity and managed security services provider that helps businesses fight cybercrime, protect data and reduce security risk. Prior, Josh was Chief Technology Officer at Application Security, which offered database and application security products along with threat, vulnerability, and compliance management services. His career in the information security industry began at SafeNet as Director of Worldwide Systems Engineering where he was responsible for the design, development, and enhancement of SafeNet’s embedded security solutions.

Josh is the author of the acclaimed book, Practical Oracle Security: Your Unauthorized Guide To Relational Database Security. He is also a sought-after speaker at major industry conferences, delivering talks across the globe, including a keynote address at the RSA Conference in 2018


PAUL VON AUTENRIED

Paul von Autenried heads Bristol-Myers Squibb’s Information Technology organization, positioning the company for success in the rapidly evolving digital age.  He is focused on ensuring the company’s information assets and operations are reliable, accessible and secure, driving the digitization of the company, adopting new approaches to digital health, and continuing an innovative approach to long-term partnerships with key IT service delivery companies.

Throughout his experiences in domestic and international high-tech, consumer packaged goods, and biopharmaceuticals companies, Paul's career has been focused on strategically leveraging information technology to drive superior performance. Before joining Bristol-Myers Squibb, Paul held positions with Kraft General Foods, Hewlett-Packard and IBM. He is a member of the Research Board, and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Princeton Healthcare System.

Paul has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in computer science from Stevens Institute of Technology, and has completed the Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School and the Program for Leadership Development at IMD in Switzerland.
